Ethereum (ETH-USD) opened at $1,919.73 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, up 1.5% from Tuesday’s opening price. The price of ethereum moved lower this morning to $1,904.82 as of 8:56 a.m. ET.
Bitcoin and ethereum prices are moving in opposite directions this morning following renewed airstrikes in the Middle East and ahead of the Fed’s rate decision later this afternoon, which crypto investors will be paying very close attention to.
“For crypto, I continue to view the Fed’s messaging around financial conditions and inflation as more important than the policy decision itself,” said Sean Farrell, head of digital assets at Fundstrat.
“My view is that we receive another ‘hawkish hold,’ but one must respect the non-negligible possibility of a rate hike,” he said.
