Ethereum Foundation Names Industry Veteran To Board Of Directors
The Ethereum Foundation has named a well-known industry veteran to its board of directors.
The Foundation appointed longtime ecosystem contributor pcaversaccio (known as “pc”) to its board, expanding the group’s leadership as it recovers from a series of resignations.
Pc is a security researcher and co-founder of the emergency response initiative “SEAL 911.” He joins the board for an initial one-year voluntary term.

In the past, pc has served on the Ethereum Foundation’s Silviculture Society, an advisory group that provides informal guidance on preserving the foundation’s core principles.
The appointment brings the Ethereum Foundation’s board to four members: President Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Swiss legal counsel Patrick Storchenegger, and now pc.
The board is responsible for setting the Ethereum Foundation’s strategic vision and ensuring management’s decisions are aligned with the organization’s values.
The board also serves as a security council tasked with safeguarding the Ethereum Foundation’s mission and ensuring compliance with the laws of Switzerland, where the organization is located.
The Ethereum Foundation is regrouping after suffering a series of high-profile resignations and defections earlier this year following disagreements about its future.
The Ethereum Foundation is a Swiss non-profit organization that supports the research, core protocol development, and ecosystem growth of the Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) network.
Ethereum is trading right around $1,900 U.S. on July 29.
